About the position

We are looking for Finance Manager to conduct finance management in the field of women’s health products and services. The ideal candidate is experienced in accounting, financial statements and reporting, forecasting and budgeting, risk management, cash management, financial compliance, tax planning, and works deeply with the business for strategic finance planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and assist in the ongoing monitoring of budget performance.
    • Prepare rolling forecasts based on actual performance and anticipated changes in the business environment.
    • Provide insights into budget variances and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
  3. Financial Operations:
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  4. Strategic Decision Support:
    • Work closely with the executive team to provide financial insights that drive strategic planning and business development.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and potential revenue streams to support sustainable growth.
  5. Investor Relations:
    • Assist in fundraising efforts, including preparing financial documentation and participating in investor meetings.
  6. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and monitoring.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, legal and other financial obligations.
  7. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, marketing, and product development, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
    • Foster a collaborative and communicative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and teamwork.
    • Manage a team of cashiers and bookkeepers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in finance, accounting, or related roles, preferably within startups or the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Excel or financial software.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of healthcare or women’s health industry trends is a plus.

Details

The role is a remote position, with a part-time (3-4 hours/day), flexible working hours but with some overlap with US working hours and China.
