Pregnant with PCOS
At Mira, we know that it can be very frustrating and disheartening for women to be diagnosed with PCOS. However, we believe that PCOS does not mean the end of trying to conceive. Check out stories of women who got pregnant with PCOS in our special project dedicated to PCOS Awareness Month.
Getting pregnant with PCOS is
Did you know that almost 1 in every 10 women in the United States is affected by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome?
It is one of the most common hormonal endocrine disorders among women of childbearing age. Even though around 80% of anovulatory infertility cases are caused by PCOS, this condition is highly treatable when following right steps.
In this video we share stories of real women who got pregnant with PCOS. Together we aim to dispel the myths around PCOS infertility.

How can Mira help you get pregnant with PCOS?
Mira is hugely helpful for women with PCOS, as it is the only personalized ovulation monitoring system you can use at home that measures your hormone concentration, just like in a hospital lab.
With Mira, you can see your actual hormone levels and curve even if your baseline LH is high — something that over the counter ovulation prediction kits (OPKs) cannot do. Even if you have irregular cycles, you will be able to see when ovulation happens (as long as you ovulate). For users with PCOS who have multiple LH peaks, Mira is able to show the whole pattern of peaks instead of identifying just one, the way OPKs do.

Mira PCOS Success Story Interview
I purchased my Mira in June, and began tracking my cycle on 6/27. I have PCOS, and have struggled with infertility for many years. I have a two-year-old son, and in order to conceive last time, my husband and I tried for well over a year and I went through 6 months of treatments with a fertility doctor. While successful, the fertility treatments I went through last time were physically, emotionally, and psychologically very very hard. I was put on hormones and given shots. I had heartbreak after heartbreak before finally getting pregnant.
While I have always wanted multiple children, the thought of going through all of that to conceive again was tough. I have a great HSA program through my job, so I decided to give Mira a try first this time. I felt that even if I didn’t get pregnant, it would give me invaluable insight into my cycle that maybe I could bring with me to the fertility doctor this time. I wasn’t sure if my body was even ovulating on its own, so I was happy to take this as my first step in another long journey. To my absolute shock, I am pregnant after tracking only one cycle with Mira.
